Origin
How Navicade was built.
Navicade began with operator work inside insurance and research with US agency owners. George Kaldelis joined Allianz Greece's top-producing office as an insurance agent and learned the business from zero. His mentor at the office, Andrew, recognized that the engineering and AI work was a better fit and proposed they build systems together. To test whether the patterns held across the US market, the firm ran interviews with 13 insurance agency owners. The same operational problems showed up across states, agency sizes, and product mixes.
The firm operates across insurance and trading, both inside financial services brokerage. They share the same business model: a distribution layer between client and carrier or counterparty. Applied AI is what allows the firm to operate across both.
